The Design Museum features historical exhibitions of the world of design that plays an essential role in our everyday life, introducing multi-faceted design.
The Museum offers an information retrieval section where visitors can search the history of design in the 20th century. It also offers part of its 2,000-piece collection of American art deco in the 1930s, including a number of valuable collectors' items. Special exhibitions are held at times at the gallery attached to the Museum.
The Museum will be closed from July to November 2011 for a renovation work. The detailed Museum schedule after the renovation work will be announced on the website.

Access From Nagoya Station to Sakae Station on the Subway Higashiyama Line – Fujigaoka direction (approx. 3 mins, 200 yen), an approx. 7-minute walk from Sakae Station
OR from Yaba-cho Station on the Subway Meijo Line (230 yen), an approx. 5-minute walk from Yaba-cho Station

Admission fees Free of charge
Closed Tuesdays (irregular), during the adjustment period for exhibition change
