The Shippo Art Village is a comprehensive facility where you can see, touch, learn and experience Shippo-yaki (cloisonné), promoting the appeal of Shippo-yaki in Japan and overseas. Shippo-yaki has a tradition and history of more than about 180 years, and has been popular since it was officially designated as a traditional craft in 1995.
You can enjoy the pleasure of making Shippo-yaki through observation of the manufacturing process and artworks, and participation in Shippo-yaki workshops conducted everyday.

Access From Meitetsu Nagoya Station Minami Meitetsu Bus Center to Anmatsu Station by Meitetsu bus – Otsubo/Tsushima direction through Anmatsu (every 10-15 minutes, approx. 25 mins), an approx. 15-minute walk from Anmatsu Station
OR an approx. 25-minute walk from Shippo Station on the Meitetsu Tsushima Line
