The Museum was opened by 13 Toyota Group companies in the birthplace of the Toyota Group, by preserving and remodelling the redbrick buildings that were used as industrial plants during the Taisho Period (1912 - 1926). Exhibiting the history of Japan's industrial and technological development with lucid displays of real machines and demonstrations of their operation, the Museum focuses on the development of textile machinery and automobiles, the two industries in Japan pioneered by the Toyota Group.
At Technoland, which was renewed in April 2010, you can experience firsthand a variety of textile machinery and automobile displays that are full of originality.
