The Nagoya City Science Museum is a comprehensive museum located within the Shirakawa Park. The Museum consists of the Astronomy Building, Science & Technology Building, and Life Science Building.
The Museum has four highly-entertaining large-scale exhibitions, such as "Brother Earth", the world's largest planetarium with a diameter of 35 meters and a landmark design with its spherically-designed, exhibition room at -30 degree C where you can see aurora images, and equipment that allows you to experience an 9 meter-high artificial tornado.
The Museum building itself is the exhibition, with various technologies of photovoltaic power generation, its green wall, earthquake-proof structure and visible elevator structure.

Access From Nagoya Station to Fushimi Station on the Subway Higashiyama Line – Fujigaoka direction (approx. 2 mins, 200 yen), an approx. 5-minute walk from Fushimi Station
Opening hours 9:30-17:00 (entry closes at 16:30)
Admission fees ‹Planetarium and exhibitions› Adult: 800 yen, University/Senior high student: 500 yen, Free of charge for junior high students and children
‹Exhibitions only› Adult: 400 yen, University/Senior high student: 200 yen, Free of charge for junior high students and children
Closed Mondays (open in the case of a public holiday and closed on the next business day)
The third Friday (open in the case of a public holiday and closed on the fourth Friday)
